Royer's Round Top Cafe
By: James Wilder
Although not a car themed cafe, it's just too unique to pass over.
Here is a short excerpt from their about page:
"Bud, 'the Pieman' Royer, the funky founding father of Royer's Round Top Café, and Royers mail order pies, along with his wife, Dr. Karen, and their four children moved to Round Top in 1987 and took over the tiny 40-seat Round Top Café. With no culinary training or kitchen experience, Bud and his family, have built and marketed the café into a well-recognized Texas institution."
Bud had a heart attack in early 2015. The restaurant is still open and Bud seems to be on the road to recovery. To your health, Bud!
As with all things human, your experiences may vary. Check the website for the days and hours they are open.
