George Boutwell Texas Artist

By: James Wilder

George Boutwell Texas artist I first discovered the art of George Boutwell when I received a calendar a few years ago as a gift. The calendar features 12 classic Texas cafés and diners, several of which I had never heard of. I really enjoyed seeing each diner every month and at the end of the year I certainly did not throw the calendar away! I still use it as a reference today.

Now that it is 2015, it's a great time to buy a calendar and what could be better than a 2015 calendar by a Texas artist that features buildings along the old Bankhead highway?

Some of the paintings on the calendar are the Plaza theater in Garland, The Baker Hotel in Mineral Wells, the old Dallas county courthouse built in 1892, which is now the Old Red Museum, the Texas and Pacific Railroad Depot in Baird, built in 1911, and many more.

You can check out the art of George Boutwell and see the calendar at the website listed below.
